Over 1100 black “body bags” fanned out over a section of grass on the National Mall in Washington D.C. on March 24 in a plea for sanity. Each represented roughly 150 individuals who have died from gun violence since the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on Feb. 14, 2018 which left 17 people dead and 17 more injured – most of the victims in their teens.
If Not Now, When? is an ongoing exhibition that showcases the work of 31 female sculptors, employing diverse materials and forms to address social and environmental issues such as gender equality, nuclear disarmament, and electronic waste. The Hepworth Wakefield in England is hosting the exhibition from April 3 to July 4, 2023.
Jeremy Scott and Moschino may no longer be a thing but the designer is still plenty busy. Case in point, Scott's new partnership with Korean car manufacturer Hyundai, the latest in the latter's ongoing Re:Style upcycling program.
For Hyundai Re:Style 2023, Jeremy Scott has saved discarded Hyundai Motor Car parts from the junk pile, instead transforming them into wearable couture (car-ture?).
