In a private Tokyo dinner party artist Mao Sugiyama served his genitals to five of the events guests. Several months prior to the event he chose to have his genitals surgically removed. He released invitations to the event on social media, 70 paid attendees were present for the event. Self-identifed as asexual, Sugiyama stated that he intended to raise awareness for "sexual minorities, x-gender, asexual people."

Kurokawa Cup is a protest against former head Tokyo prosecutor Hiromu Kurokawa's de facto immunity after he had played mahjong for money, which is an illegal act in Japan.
Artists got fed up with these 'anti-homeless spikes.' So they made them a bit more ... comfy.

These are called "anti-homeless spikes." They're about as friendly as they sound. Photo courtesy of CC BY-ND, Immo Klink and Marco Godoy. As you may have guessed, they're intended to deter people who are homeless from sitting or sleeping on that concrete step. And yeah, they're pretty awful.
