MASK art exhibit Favorite
"MASK" is an art exhibition that explores the uses and meanings of masks, and ones feelings about them. Masks throughout history have taken many forms and have served many purposes. They have been used in construction, scientific research, technical manufacturing, medicine, the theater, and warfare. Psychologically, they represent positive and negative forces: in the theater, they can portray a character or idea; in life they can describe protection, or subterfuge and malfeasance. In these uncertain times, it can be difficult to discern truth or lies. This exhibit is open to artists and nonartists worldwide. All media is accepted, including drawing, painting, sculpture, fiber art,
quilting, video. Questions should be directed to Bruce at 636.699.0579 or www.blowglass1@gmail.com
Art will be accepted through August 30, with the reception Aug 3, 7-9 pm CT (masks required), with online attendance available 8-8:30 pm using zoom.us. For more details, go to www.stcharlesart.org
