A 'Mixed' Family Tells What It's Like When One Member Lives In U.S. Illegally
Jasmine Garsd reports:
Earlier this year I met up with a "mixed status" family in New York, who wanted to tell me their story. The entire family is American citizens- including the two young children, but the mother is undocumented. They spoke to me about how this affects their every day life, and their "Plan B"-- what they would do if she ever got deported. Thousands of American families are living in this situation, and unclear what to do about it. Here's one family's story.

As presidential candidates talk about deporting or legalizing the 11 million unauthorized immigrants in the U.S, we hear what it means for American citizens whose spouses or parents are undocumented.
