"On 17 December 1976, 18-year-old Eduardo Raúl Germano was abducted in Rosario, Argentina. Following the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the 1976 coup d’état, Gustavo Germano, Eduardo’s brother, began working on the photography exhibition "Ausencias" (Absences). Born in 1964 in the Argentinean Province of Entre Río, Gustavo Germano started taking photographs of the journeys he made across Latin America in 1987.

A CALL TO ARTISTS: The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) has created a new, nationally touring poster exhibit called All of Us or None: Responses and Resistance to Militarism. The exhibit will launch in June and is already scheduled to travel to Chicago, Greensboro, Providence, and San Francisco with many other stops anticipated. We are looking for some additional work to include in this show.

A group of young black women poised to graduate from the United States Military Academy gathered on the steps of West Point’s oldest barracks last week in traditional gray dress uniforms, complete with sabers, for a group photo. Known as an “Old Corps” photograph because it mimics historical portraits, it was nearly identical to thousands that cadets have posed for over the decades, with one key difference: The 16 women raised their clenched fists.
