WASHINGTON, Feb. 12, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- While the United States is getting prepared once again for the Big Game on February 12th, the event with the highest audience nationwide, few are aware that last year there were more than 45,000 gun violence victims, and just during the first month of 2023, there were more than 39 massive shootings in the country.
At TED2009, audience member Cindy Gallop gave a 4-minute presentation that became one of the event’s most talked about. Kokumo, pronounced "koh-koo-mah", is a trans gender activist whose very name embodies her bold path of resistance. Taken from the West African dialect Yoruba, Kokumo means "this woman will not die." He continues to say that his business is exclusive and a lot of people do not belong in his clothes.
