Olivia Rodrigo's Fund 4 Good Favorite

In conjunction with the GUTS world tour, Olivia has launched Olivia Rodrido’s Fund 4 Good, a global initiative committed to building an equitable and just future for all women, girls and people seeking reproductive health freedom.

A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales at the GUTS world tour will go towards the Fund 4 Good.

For the US GUTS world tour, Olivia will partner with local chapters of the National Network of Abortion Funds to ensure those most impacted by systemic racism, misogyny, and healthcare barriers can get the reproductive care they deserve.

Olivia partnered with Right By You and Missouri Abortion Fund for her Missouri show, and Right By You were the ones to provide the free contraception as part of their commitment to making sure that as many Missourians as possible have access to the tools they need to control their reproductive lives.

In addition to her Fund 4 Good initiative and handouts at her shows, after each of her concerts, Olivia has used her Instagram account — which has more than 36 million followers — to shout out and platform organizations that support reproductive healthcare and are local to each city.

Timeframe For change

This project seems to be part of a campaign with a clear short-term goal. Short-term goals tend to be things like: create or repeal a law; get a President impeached; make the city administration repair a sidewalk. A campaign with a short-term goal needs a clear theory of change, complete with targets that can be cajoled or pressured into effecting the goal.
In the short term, this project aims to provide reproductive health resources to women.
This project seems to be part of a campaign with a clear long-term goal. Long-term goals tend to be things like: end racism; end homophobia; make the sun stand still in the sky. A campaign with a long-term goal also needs to have some kind of theory of change.
In the long term, this project seeks to build funds for women's access to reproductive care, education against gender-based violence, to raise awareness, and to build an equitable and just future for all women.

Notes

Considering the fact that this campaign involves directly providing resources to people in need, as well as the span of the project (both in terms of duration and locations), this project is very effective. However, it is still limited in its effectiveness because those who have access to the venue/have purchased a concert ticket would be the only group of people who can get access to the resources provided. As for affect, the project brings a "taboo" or sensitive issue to the forefront, in a space where it may not normally be discussed, encouraging conversation and action among people who may not have seen themselves as having a "seat at the table" if they are not in the profession of law making. It also encourages sense of community among attendees, not just through being part of the same fandom, but also in their sense for social justice.
