The Pilobolus Dance company, famous for their beautiful aesthetics of shadow play formed out of the dancer's bodies, started the #PilobolusVOTEproject, encouraging people to form the words VOTE with whatever material they had around them, take a picture of it and to upload it on instagram with the hashtag #PilobolusVOTEproject. This was on one hand meant to mobilize and spread awareness about voting, while simultaneously creating an beautiful mosaic of idiosyncratic 'VOTE's. This participation in this project demonstrates in sometimes subtle, sometimes flamboyant ways, the unique personalities of each participant as they register their 'VOTE' and creates a humanizing aesthetic of the voting movement.
