Meatless Monday occurs every week in the Douglass Dining Hall. This event is meant to promote alternatives to consuming animal products. The dining hall offers vegetarian and vegan options in place of the regular meals for lunch and dinner in order to educate students about vegetarian alternative protein sources, healthy eating and the environmental impact of eating meat.

"Cruel" is a book written by Sue Coe, an activist illustrator known for her dedication to animal rights. It continues her mission of shedding light on how animals are mistreated in the food industry. The book is filled with striking paintings and drawings that vividly portray both the beauty and suffering of these animals and the workers who handle them.
Anonymous urban artists set up art installations, large nest eggs, at several locations in Skopje, wanting to alarm the growing number of trees in the city.

On a damp and rainy Sunday in October of 1935, Munro Leaf sat down to write a story. He had been eager to work with his friend – the illustrator Robert Lawson – for some time and so he decided to pen a book which he felt might suit the illustrator’s skills. Lawson was a master at drawing animals but horses, dogs, cats, rabbits and mice had all been done a thousand times already.

He uses his talent to produce work highlighting environmental and social issues worldwide with Disney characters, called Unhappily Ever After. His work includes images of Elsa from Frozen on melting ice caps and Alice from Alice & Wonderland taking drugs down a dark alley.
