There was once a time when Israeli songs like A Matter of Habit were routinely written, aired and became hits. These were songs of political commentary or protest, songs of hope and idealism. They represented the aspirations of Israel's secular liberal (generally Ashkenazi) elite. But that was long ago.

100 'Radioactive Figures' Haunt Hamburg Landscape

ART COLLECTIVE LUZINTERRUPTUS has created an installation made up of 100 glowing “radioactive” figures for the Dockville Festival in Hamburg. The human-size figures appear to be wearing special white protective clothing and marching, heads down, across the landscape. The eerie structures contain a number of lights which make them appear to glow ominously in the dark.

Gardens Speak

"Gardens Speak is an interactive sound installation containing the oral histories of ten ordinary people who were buried in Syrian gardens. Each narrative has been carefully constructed with the friends and family members of the deceased to retell their stories as they themselves may have recounted it. They are compiled with found audio that evidences their final moments.
