In 2013, a group of ten women incarcerated at York Correctional Institution in Connecticut, calling themselves “Women of York,” created this work of art inspired by Judy Chicago’s The Dinner Party. The installation includes six entry banners and ten place settings arranged on a triangular table, each dedicated to a woman of personal significance to the artist.

Xu Bing, the internationally acclaimed Chinese artist, has brought his “Phoenix” installation to the majestic nave of the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine on Manhattan's Upper West Side. The US-Mexico border wall has become a battleground for political theater, but also various artistic interventions. One of these outstanding artworks is the pink seesaws. They went viral after they were installed by the two creative architects Ronald Rael and Virginia San Fratello. Between the erect giant steel posts of the border fence lie small gaps a couple of inches apart. It is this space where they installed the seesaws.

Exposing Disordered Eating is a photographic exhibition intended to show us the images we rarely see. In American media, representations of disordered eating are conditioned and controlled; all we are shown is the crumpled, emaciated anorexic figure with sunken eyes and cheekbones. This image is both unrelatable and othered, and it fails to capture the reality of modern eating disorders: they are omnipresent, multifaceted, and sneaky.
